Mathletics Champs!!!

Room 20 were awarded the Mathletics Trophy in assembly this afternoon.

All of Room 20 have been working hard with their maths and worked together to achieve this. Well done and keep up the good work!

Maypole Dancing

On Sunday 10th March, Alicia, Charlotte and Mitchell from Room 20 performed in their very first maypole dance. They are all part of the Meadowbank School maypole group. They practise in the hall at school. Check out photos of them here...

A few weeks ago we got to use the i-pods to take a photo and write about it. We had to include onomatopoeia and similies in our writing. Lois wrote one which we have published here...

Flip flop, I flip on the bars.

Crash bang, I roll and swing.

Wheeeee, I flip over the bars.

Wooooah, I say when I go fast.

Ping pong, ping pong, goes the metal.

Eeeeeeee, when it's too dry.

Slip slop, I go if it's slippery.

The bar is as blue as the sky.

It is as slippery as cream.

Library

Just a quick reminder that Room 20's library day was changed earlier this term to be on a Thursday at 9.40am.

Students must bring their book bags to school. No bag = no book. Students can borrow up to 2 library books at a time.

The library is also open to students at lunchtime from 1-1.25pm.

Mon-Thurs, journals or books will be sent home with most students in their book bags. These are to be read for homework. The instruction is usually to read a specific story / article / chapter from the journal / book which we have read in class that day.
