Y3 Assembly!!!

Next week Room 20 will be taking part in the Year 3 Assembly. We are pretty excited about this.

As we are learning about the value of responsibility - we have decided this will be the theme of our assembly.

Each of the five Year 3 classes will be taking part in the assembly. Room 20 are going to be demonstrating what taking responsibility for our learning looks like.

We hope you can make it to our assembly - next Friday 8th March.

Weetbix Tryathlon

Hi everyone,

Last weekend was fantastic. Some very enthusiastic kids from Room 20 - along with hundreds of others from around Auckland, participated in the Sanitarium Weet-bix Kids TRYathlon.

Miss Pedersen and some very supportive parents braved the masses and joined in with other spectators and participants and cheered on the kids! It was a stunning day in St Heliers - lots of suncream and water was required.

Our 'try-athletes' had to swim 50m, bike 4km and then run 1.5km. A lot of training and sheer determination got them to the finish line with huge smiles on their faces. Well done on a fantastic achievement!

It was great to see everyone having a go.  Hopefully they have inspired you to give next years TRYathlon a TRY! Talk to Caroline, Charlotte, Lilly, Mitchell, Molly, Tegan, Rowan, Ruby or Thomas if you want to know more :)

Onomatopoeia

We have been learning about onomatopoeia. We went down the the gully and listened for different sounds. We wrote poems about the gully sounds using onomatopoeia. You can read some of them here...

Welcome to Room 20's Blog. 

We are a fantastic class of 26, Year 3 students from Meadowbank School. Most of us are 7 years old.

Our teacher is Miss Pedersen. We are looking forward to a great year of learning in Room 20 and we hope to be able to use this blog to share some of what we are doing with you!
