Poems about spaghetti!
We have written some poems about spaghetti in reading and writing time...
Super Spaghetti
Spaghetti is loopy
Spaghetti is droopy
It's floppy and ploppy
and gloppy and sloppy
It's hot in the pot
and it's a lot like slop,
but I like it a lot.
By Evie
Spaghetti
Spaghetti is gloopy
Spaghetti is sloppy
It slips and slides and gets into a mess!
It's warm in the pot
It's cold when it is on my plate
Then it explodes in my face.
By Kate
Swirly twirly spaghetti
Spaghetti is swirly and is really twirly
It goes round and round and round
It's yummy to eat and really long to eat
So that's why you should always eat spaghetti with a fork!
By Oscar
We also invented new machines which help us to eat spaghetti.
Developing Vocabulary
We have been busy in Room 20.
Some new words for the word wall are; notorious, vague, mime and unicycle.
Thomas said his sister is notorious for blaming him for things he didn't do.
Rayan said he has a vague idea of how to play netball.
We have been miming actions and expressions for our creativity topic.
We have discovered that uni means one, bi means two, and tri means three. We used this knowledge to help us with our maths problem solving this week.
We look forward to sharing more new words with you as we learn them...

Oxfam Hot Chocolate Fundraiser
On Thursday 23rd May the School fundraised profits to go towards Oxfam
who will support Fair-trade Farmers. We fundraised $614.60 by asking for
a gold coin donation and in return you got a hot chocolate with
homemade baking, it was so yummy. We brought our own cups to save the
environment.
